Walk the Talk

 Colorado Springs, CO

Here I am again. I find myself at the beginning of a new year trying to piece back the lists of goals I have set for myself. I am brushing off the dust covered memories and making several miniature milestones to hopefully achieve those aspirations I have left on the wayside.

I am not a big fan of resolutions, the meaning in and of itself seems like a contradiction. So, here is my shot at a new year full of challenging "goals". The journey to reach something beyond the ordinary is the focus.

I have a long journey ahead of me, but I want to be someone who walks the talk versus the other way around. I must say my attitude towards this year's ventures is much better and I have already started acting on them.

2011 Goals:
1. Live like I'm dying, really investing in those around me be they friend or foe. Standing in faith and refusing to compromise on foundational matters. Spend time learning more about Christ and studying His precious words.
2. Spend more quality time with my boyfriend, family and friends, love relentlessly, stay fiesty, and don't make life about materialistic wealthy or career advancement.
3. Serve in the church, community, and through missions. I've always had a heart for missions, praying about direction of where and how I can serve and love others on a daily basis.

4.Started P90X challenge, lost about 10lbs so far and on week 3!Half way to milestone #1.
5. Going to start a picture journal of the weight loss and for personal motivation.
6. Lifelong learning-continue to pursue knowledge to learn about different cultures, countries, and knowledge related to technology.
7. TRAVELING! I refuse to lose another day of vacation by being a workaholic, I want to explore the U.S. and other countries. :)

Now that I have it written out in public, I have to do it! :)
